Our Team
Jian Su
Jian is the Founder and Executive Director of Tyche Paws Rescue. She joined as one of the few members of our cat rescue group beginning from a basement in Flushing, Queens New York in 2017. She rescued many cats with serious disease, took them to vet care, and adopted the cats out after they recovered. When she is not rescuing cats, she is working as a software developer.
Shuming Gu
Shuming is the Founder and Executive Director of Tyche Paws Rescue. He joined as one of the few members of our cat rescue group beginning from a basement in Flushing, Queens New York in 2017. He has been rescuing and fostering many cats and dogs, and also helping with treasury and fund raising activities. He also has some loyal feral cats he cares for in his neighborhood. Shuming is working as an entrepreneur in aquaculture equipment import business with MBA degree.
Heshan Liu
Heshan works in the corporate world as a biostatistician with masters in Biostatistics. She spends her free time by channeling her passion for rescue. She finds it incredibly rewarding to rescue animals who are homeless, injured or in danger. She also coordinates with rescue from China, helps rescued dogs in China find adoption homes in the US. She helps building online adoption pages for each cat and dog in platforms such as adoptapet, Instagram, Xiaohongshu, etc. With so many animals in need, Heshan wants to increase awareness of Tyche Paws Rescue and ensure the organization is resourced to help every animal that comes in its path.
Judy Wu
Judy is the Founder and Cat House Manager of Tyche Paws Rescue. She joined as one of the few members of our cat rescue group beginning from a basement in Flushing, Queens New York in 2017. She started rescuing kittens when she was 10 years old, and her mom gave up and allowed her caring for her kittens at home. She has brought home many sick cats, dogs and rabbit since she came to New York for 20 years. She has been working on Trap-Neuter-Release for the neighborhood cats and taking care of the rescued animal in cat house. Judy works as a nursing caregiver.
